Harrington Jackets
Harrington Jackets
Harringtons:
Yes, lightweight outerwear is important. We continue to layer up in fleeces, gilets, tactical waistcoats, and fishing vests as they keep coming in. But what about their ancestors? Remember the transitional clothing that helped pave the way. We're referring to your M-65 field jackets, denim sherpas, MA-1 bombers, and of course, Harringtons.
It is often a thin, weatherproof jacket with a compact design, a stand collar, a double zip closure, a ribbed hem, and flap pockets. The purest version, Baracuta's G9, which purportedly represents the original Harrington, has been imitated and reinterpreted in countless numbers. Although it has been altered, improved upon, and sexified, the Harrington remains one of the top choices for lightweight outerwear.
