Shortly after the Romans quit Britain the Scotti started to raid the northern shores of Britain and then gradually moved into the region and became called Scots. Thus the close ties between the two countries in their customs and cultures. The current provinces of Ireland could be traced to kingdoms of the 5th century that were which were ruled by "Ri Coicid" or Kings of a Fifth, indicating that there were at first five kingdoms or provinces: Connaucht, Leinster, Meath, Munster and Ulster. In the end, the five provinces changed to four that covered the major spiritual spheres of influence including Meath being taken over by Leinster during the 11th century. All Ireland Blue Tartan colors are light blue, yellow with a green hue, dark mustard, blue duck eggs and navy.
