In 1451 Andrew Kerr was granted the barony of Old Roxburgh, and by 1457 he had been appointed to be the Lord of the Marches. At the end of the 15th century, the Clan Kerr was honoured with having the Castle and the Barony of Cessford as well as of the Barony of Oxnam an impressive feat in the history of anyone in a Border Clan. The Kerrs were frequently in conflict against different Scottish border clans, including Clan Scott and Clan Heron. Kerr Hunting Ancient Tartan fabric by the meter is made from 100% pure new wool and proudly woven in Scotland. The color of this tartan includes Blue, Green, and Black.
