Malcolm Tartan
Clan Malcolm, also known as clan MacCallum, is a Highland clan whose name is derived from the Gaelic "Mac Ghille Chaluim," meaning "son of the disciple of Columba." The clan motto is "In ardua tendit" (He aims at difficult things), and the crest features a tower with a blue window and port. The clan's lands include Argyll, Fife, Lochore, and Dumfriesshire, and the chief's seat is still at Duntrune Castle. The name Malcolm is derived from "Mael Coluimb," meaning "devotee of St. Columba," and it has been in use since the 11th century. Clan members have held positions of prominence throughout history, including Admiral Sir Pulteney Malcolm, who was naval commander at St. Helena when Napoleon was imprisoned there. The Malcolm family also played a role in politics during the 19th and 20th centuries. The badge associated with the clan is the mountain ash.

The pattern consists of wide horizontal stripes in red, black, and green, with thinner stripes in yellow and blue creating a check pattern.
