An emblem of Scotland's history. It was initially created as a method to recognize where you came originally from. Scots were known to use natural resources like seaweed, berries, and bark, which they found locally, to make the dyes for their yarns which would later make the tartan. This is how the initial rendition of the famous Clan and District tartans began. These tartans soon were a symbol of Scots as well as the Highland lifestyle. MacCorquodale Tartan is dark blue, black, and ancient red.
