The Great Kilt was widely worn throughout the Highlands from the 1500s until the early 1700s, before the smaller modern kilt, known as the feileadh beag, emerged. This traditional garment consisted of a large length of fabric, secured with a belt and carefully pleated, designed to serve as a versatile, all-weather outfit.
Available with a plain belt featuring a double-pronged brass buckle and/or a sizable plaid brooch, selectable via the drop-down menus. These brooches are equipped with substantial brass pins to guarantee secure fastening. Stone color choices include Ruby Red, Emerald Green, Sapphire Blue, Jet Black, and Topaz Yellow.
The Great Kilt can be crafted with 'cheater pleats' as shown in the images, or left unpleated according to your preference. The apron edge features a fringed finish, and belt loops are positioned to match your height, though these can be omitted if desired.
